2025 6 month, Niger National Electric Power Grid Company (SNEL) technical backbone team 6 people arrived at our company, starting a two-week specialized training on carrier communication, optical communication, and PABX (Private Automatic Branch eXchange) systems. This training closely revolves around the construction needs of the West African four-country LO1 power interconnection project, aiming to enhance the operation and maintenance level of Niger's substation communication system through technological empowerment and lay a talent foundation for building a smart grid in West Africa.
This training is not only an in-depth exchange of knowledge and skills but also a vivid manifestation of the friendship of cooperation between China and Niger in the energy field. Our expert team adopted a combination of theory and practice, not only explaining in detail the latest theories and technological frontiers of carrier communication, optical communication, and PABX systems, but also arranging on-site operation drills and simulated fault troubleshooting to ensure that each trainee can master key skills proficiently. During the training, both sides also conducted in-depth discussions on the specific implementation details, technical challenges, and solutions of the West African power interconnection project, further promoting technical consensus and cooperation. Through this training, the technical backbones of the Niger National Electric Power Grid not only significantly improved their personal abilities but also accumulated valuable experience for future participation in the construction and management of the regional smart grid, contributing to a new chapter in Sino-African energy cooperation.
